Re-Elect Dannielle Glaros to the Prince George's County Council in 2018.
County Councilmember Dannielle Glaros (District3) was sworn-in to the County Council in December 2014. She was elected by her colleagues to serve as the Vice-Chair of the County Council for 2016 and 2017. In 2017, she served as the Chair of the Public Safety and Fiscal Management Committee. In 2018, she was elected Chair of the County Council and is Chair of the Region Forward Coalition, a group of the Council of Governments. She also serves on the Transportation Planning Board, a regional organization.
In 2015, her first-year on the County Council, she won the Phyllis Campbell Newsome Public Policy Leadership Award from the Center for Nonprofit Advancement for her innovative work to build collaboration and partnership to further nonprofit work in the County. She also served on the Promise Scholarship taskforce in 2016 which led to $1.7million being made available for students in Prince George's to attend Prince George's Community College. She is a founding board member of the Prince George's Food Equity Council.
She is supported by many electeds including Senators Paul Pinsky (D), Jim Rosapepe (D), Joanne Benson (D), and Victor Ramirez (D), Mayors Patrick Wojahn, Len Carey, Lee Walker, Andy Hanko, and Alan Thompson, Civic leaders throughout the district, and many more!
